From REVEALED "B" Side - Single Release 02/20/2026

UNTIL I COME (Service Version)

1 Cor. 11:23-26

On the night He was betrayed
Jesus gave thanks and said:

Also
Matt. 26:26-29
Mark 14:22-25
Luke 22:14-20

Take this bread / Break this bread
My body broken / Bruised for you
Drink this cup / Of the vine
My blood expressed
Hard pressed and poured out divinely for you

A covenant I keep
So often recall
Proclaim My death
Exclaim My love for all
A covenant I keep
So often remember
Proclaim My death
Exclaim My love until I come

Take this bread / Break this bread
My body broken / Bruised for you
Drink this cup / Of the vine
My blood expressed
Hard pressed and poured out divinely for you
(Poured out, poured out)

A covenant I keep
So often recall
Proclaim My death
Exclaim My love for all
A covenant I keep
So often remember
Proclaim My death
Exclaim My love until I come

Until I come for you
O, I will come for you

A covenant I keep
So often recall
Proclaim My death
Exclaim My love for all
A covenant I keep
So often remember
Proclaim My death
Exclaim My love until I come
Until I come

NOTES

This song will eventually be on the Revealed album, but as a single release it is for the purpose of the video. It is intended to be used as a setting for Holy Communion among followers of Jesus:
The pastor may speak preparatory words ahead of the video, administer the bread and cup during the quieted, extended instrumental section in the middle (62 sec with a 20 sec countdown timer at the end) and then wrap up as desired after the song.

These lyrics are based on the "Words of Institution", found in Matthew 26, Mark 14, and Luke 22, but here tracking best with their telling in 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.

I originally had a freetime held-chords intro for the opening two lines, "On the night He was betrayed...", but in the studio I decided that the strumming figure should lead out the song. Thus I elected to sing those lead-in words over the second half of that formerly-instrumental strumming intro, and with a more interesting melody. Musically, this song's strumming and percussion carries a similar vibe to the verses in "Your Breath is Mine" (Transformed), but the two songs differ much from there, including the bridge placement. Here it is a more typical bridge between two refrains. As usual, my hand percussion is the cajon, but here I have also played a muted cowbell.
